This cheeseburger baked dish combines classic burger flavors with a comforting baked casserole twist, perfect for a hearty and easy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pickles, chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 cups frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in ketchup, mustard, and chopped pickles; mix well.
  5. Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  7. Arrange frozen tater tots on top of the cheese layer.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a side of fresh lettuce or a simple salad for a balanced meal. You can also swap the ground beef for ground turkey for a leaner option.
