Chicken Lasagna Bake

This Chicken Lasagna Bake is a comforting and flavorful twist on classic lasagna, featuring tender chicken, creamy cheese, and rich tomato sauce baked to perfection.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add shredded chicken to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer three lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by half of the chicken mixture and a sprinkle of basil.
  7. Top with 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese and some Parmesan cheese.
  8. Repeat layering with noodles, ricotta, chicken, basil, and cheeses.
  9. Finish with a final layer of noodles and marinara sauce, then top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  12. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the chicken mixture or serve with a fresh green salad and garlic bread.
