Guacamole

Freshly Prepared Guacamole on White Plate

Guacamole is a creamy, flavorful Mexican dip made from ripe avocados, fresh lime juice, and seasonings, perfect for snacks or party appetizers.

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado with a fork until it reaches your desired consistency.
  3. Add lime juice and salt to the mashed avocado and mix well.
  4. Stir in diced onion, chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, and minced garlic.
  5. Add cayenne pepper if you prefer a bit of heat, then mix to combine all ingredients evenly.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavors meld, or serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use ripe avocados and serve guacamole with fresh tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos and grilled meats.
