Garlic Bread is a classic Italian-inspired side dish featuring crispy, buttery bread infused with fresh garlic and herbs. Perfect for complementing pasta dishes or serving as a tasty snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian baguette
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread loaf in half horizontally.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until well combined.
  4. Spread the garlic butter evenly over both halves of the bread.
  5. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden and crispy.
  7. Optional: For extra crispiness, broil the bread for an additional 1–2 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  8. Remove from oven, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For a cheesy variation, add mozzarella cheese on top before baking. Serve garlic bread alongside pasta, soups, or salads for a delicious meal.
