Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (for garlic butter)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Stir and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, salt, and the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  7. Cover and let rolls rise for another 30-40 minutes until puffy.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown on top.
  10. While rolls bake, mix melted butter with minced garlic and parsley.
  11. Immediately brush garlic butter over hot rolls after removing from oven.
  12. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top before baking or add fresh herbs like rosemary to the garlic butter.
