Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  2. Slowly whisk in the olive oil until ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Add fresh lemon juice and stir to combine.
  4. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Let the dip sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For a milder garlic flavor, roast the garlic cloves before mincing. This dip pairs wonderfully with toasted baguette slices or fresh pita bread.
