Honey Garlic Meatballs

These Honey Garlic Meatballs combine sweet honey and savory garlic for a deliciously sticky glaze, perfect as a crowd-pleasing appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, minced garlic, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove meatballs and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes until mixture begins to bubble.
  5. If desired, add cornstarch slurry to the sauce to thicken, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
  6. Return meatballs to the skillet, tossing to coat them evenly in the honey garlic sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve these meatballs over steamed rice or alongside stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
