Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels are a spicy and creamy appetizer featuring a flavorful blend of jalapenos, cream cheese, and cheddar rolled in puff pastry, perfect for parties and snacks.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped jalapenos, bacon, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Spread the cheese and jalapeno mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  5. Starting from one edge, carefully roll the pastry into a tight log.
  6. Slice the log into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, leave some jalapeno seeds in the filling or serve with a side of ranch dressing for dipping.
