Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites

Deliciously savory prosciutto wrapped around creamy mozzarella balls makes for an easy, elegant appetizer perfect for any gathering.

  • 12 small fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 6 slices of prosciutto, halved lengthwise
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. Wrap each mozzarella ball with a half slice of prosciutto, securing it tightly.
  4. If desired, tuck a fresh basil leaf between the prosciutto and mozzarella for added flavor.
  5. Place the wrapped bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Drizzle olive oil evenly over the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella bites.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes or until the prosciutto becomes slightly crispy and the mozzarella starts to soften.
  8. Remove from oven, sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper, and serve warm.
